Aberdeen Home Builder Association – Parade of Homes

Spring Parade of Homes
Sunday, June 6, 2010
11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Spring is here and it is time to showcase the workmanship and craftsmanship of the construction profession in Aberdeen. We would like to have people from all aspects of the building trades take part in the 8th Annual Parade of Homes. Anyone with a newly constructed home or major remodeled home can take the opportunity to showcase their work. What a great way to let the general public view your professional skills of creating that perfect home for someone.

Again this year we have asked the car dealerships to be part of the event (Aberdeen Chrysler Center, Harr Motors, and Pierson Ford). They will be tag teaming several radio ads prior to the parade and then displaying a vehicle in the driveway of each home. We felt this would be a nice presentation for your home, plus keep traffic away from the driveway entrances.

Judging this year will also take place the Saturday before the parade. This will allow the winners to have their winning certificates displayed at the home to be viewed by the public. Judges score sheet will include the following categories: Curb Appeal, Entry Foyer, Floor Plan, Kitchen, Energy Efficiency, Workmanship, Overall Impression.

Tickets will be presented at the first home visited ($5.00 per couple/$3.00 per person). This ticket will allow the people to view all homes in the parade. A donation will be made to the Yelduz Shrine Greeters. Members of the organizations will be present at each home to take tickets and assist the home owner as needed.

Advertising will be targeted by radio ads along with ads in the Aberdeen American News. The builder map ad will run on Sunday, June 6th the day of the parade. Enclosed please find a flyer to be posted at your place of business. If you would like additional flyers please contact the AHBA Office at 225-2055.

Please complete the registration form attached and return this to the Aberdeen Home Builders Association on or before Thursday, May 20, 2010.

Sincerely,

Tammy Papousek,
Chairperson, 225-7700
